It's sometimes hard living so far away from family and friends but when you find a gorgeous message like this in your inbox from someone you love - it brightens your week. You're my superhero too Gazzie! Miss you...
MyFonts News regularly pops up in my inbox and the recent one introduced Hannes von Döhren, an art director turned type designer in Berlin. In less than a year, the German designer has released an astonishing collection of well-made, original typefaces in a wide variety of styles. I can't wait for an opportunity to use his Livory Font, inspired by the French Renaissance oldstyle faces from the sixteenth century.
I've enjoyed visiting Oliver Jeffers's site ever since a friend from college introduced me to his work years ago. I occasionally stop by to see what he's done of late and I've been inspired by one of his print The America. Thinking I might get a piece of wood and have a bash at painting my homeland, Australia.
The biggest impulse buy at the smallest price. I've always loved Polaroid cameras, I remember as a child the buzz I'd get from seeing the picture I'd just taken in my hand in seconds. So when I saw this little beauty on e-bay I couldn't help myself. Fingers crossed I can find some film for it.
EmersonMade started as a one woman operation in NYC where Emerson would sell her hand-made flower brooches, sometimes right off her lapel. She has now branched out into a full scale operation creating clothing, clutches and necklaces. I particularly love her clothing.
Oh Tolix Chairs can we please be friends - I dream of you being in my life, the dinner parties we could have together would be wonderful, the light lunches, divine and afternoon teas...
I've gone a little Etsy crazy of late but who wouldn't when you have gorgeous stores such as Make It constantly popping up. Isn't this stag majestic!
One of the big trends in decorating at the moment is industrial. So if you need some inspirational pieces for your home than Daily Memorandum is the first place you should visit. They have some exciting one off pieces that would take pride of place in any home.
Matt Albiani is a New York based photographer best known for the lush and approachable sense of his surroundings -as goes his bio. He has shot campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Victoria's Secret, Nautica, J.Crew and many more. Here is some of his latest work, I can almost hear the Beach Boys playing in the background.
Cushions galore! Strong, bold prints that will inject life into any room lacking a bit of panache. All from a little shop on Esty called Be Still Shop. Enjoy...
One company I'm always going back to is Kiki & Polly and to my delight they have bought out some new prints. This one is my favourite.
One Photographic is one site I always go to for inspiration. They have some amazing photographers - Oliver Pearce being just one of them. His latest shots are stunningly voyeuristic.
Alphabet Bags launched quite simply with 26 cotton totes screen printed with the letters A to Z. What a great gift idea for a friend, bridemaids or simply for yourself.
Toast have such a gorgeous house & home range. I want to be grilling sardines under an olive grove with cushions covered in washed linen from the Baltic.
Stumbled across another lovely Etsy seller...Old Crow Farm rescue good ol' junk, dust it off and find new and funky ways to use it. Love it.
